Cancun is the paradise of Watersports with its 14 miles of crystal clear water beaches; you can enjoy water activities above, in and below the surface. You can also find the Nichupte lagoon along the west side of the island, an ecological system covering more than 16 000 acres of pristine mangroves, channels and exotic wild life.
Lagoon or Ocean, you can practice all types of Watersports you can think of, from exciting water ski to romantic sunset sailing on the lagoon, you can experience snorkeling, wave runners, windsurfing or get a scuba diving certification.
The Jungle tour is one of Cancun’s favorites, with many departing points along the hotel zone, you can enjoy an eco-adventure through the channels and mangroves of the Nichupte lagoon, in this tour you will pilot your own two passengers speed boat. Most of the tours include a reef snorkeling adventure.
In order to preserve this natural scenario for future generations, Mexican law prohibits the following practices: touching animals or coral reefs, collecting rocks, sand, seashells or any natural object in the water or on the beach.
Make sure to use sunscreen/suntan lotion, but be sure it’s biodegradable to avoid polluting the waters and always wear a life jacket while doing water sports or other nautical activities. |
