The most important golf courses designers are being attracted to this beautiful coast in order to create the most impressive golf courses in the world, nested among Mayan ruins, tropical jungle or amazing Caribbean views, the coastline has a variety of first class golf courses to suit your game and your moods.

With many golf courses in operation, Cancun and the Riviera Maya are being consolidated as golf destinations while waiting for three more golf courses that are under construction.

Hilton Cancun Golf and Spa Resort

One of the rules of this golf course states that “crocodiles should be consider an immovable obstruction” following the same train of thoughts, you can consider the same for the iguanas, peacocks and other wild life that adorn the course. Surrounded by Mayan archeological ruins, this is the perfect place to improve your game; the layout, featuring the standard brace of dog-legs and smattering of par 3 water holes, offers a spectacular view of the lagoon and Mayan ruins.

Cancun Golf Club at Pok ta Pok
Designer: Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Designed in 1976 as the first golf course in the region the Cancun Golf Club at Pok Ta Pok is an Icon of the Mexican Caribbean, with a privileged location in the heart of the hotel zone, it offers an easy access to all the hotel guest and Cancun locals.

Playa Mujeres Golf Club

Playa Mujeres is the second Golf Course designed by Greg Norman and it has a fantastic combination of sights including the Chachmochuc Lagoon on one side and the Caribbean blue waters with its two and a half miles of white sand beach on the other side. The Coastal winds on to the fairways demand skills and expertise from a pro, however this golf course was officially selected by the EWGA (executive Woman’s Club Association) as the first women-friendly course in Mexico.

With a state of the art creation, Jack Nicklaus sculpted this golf course on nature, The Moon Palace Golf Course offers the possibility to choose your game according to your moods among three different courts of nine holes each one and with a different set up to combine: Dunes, Lake and Jungle. Depending of your choice, relaxing or challenging, to play here is a harmonic experience with nature, along with unforgettable sights and exotic wild life

Golf Courses Riviera Maya

El Camaleon Mayakoba

Its name comes from the amazing way that the golf course blends with the surroundings, more than 600 acres of tropical jungle, pristine mangroves and a turquoise blue coastline makes El Camaleon (“the chameleon) a Greg Norman’s master piece. This impressive golf course hosted the Mexico First PGA Event. Even that it was designed for the pro’s, the less confident golfers should not be intimidated, since it’s well balanced to cater to golfers of all different skills. If you are looking for inspiration before starting, you can practice your swings on the driving range or take a lesson at the prestigious David Leadbetter Academy.

Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club

A Mayan jungle creation with narrow fairways, deep bunkers and skinny gullies, this is one of courses best ranked around the world. The cunning design help you to build confidence in the straightforward firsts few holes, then you’ll find yourself pushing your game to new limits on the rest of the field.
Ideal to improve your game, this beautiful golf course suits any handicap. The club boasts and impressive floodlit driving range, putting green, and on-course beverages and snacks which are included in the green fee.

Grupo Mayan Golf Riviera Maya
Designer: Jack Nicklaus

Length: 2923 yards.

The Grupo Mayan Golf is an impressive course filled with white sand straps along the field and pristine lakes surrounded by natural stones; this is a garden of delights for golf lovers. An imposing golf course with a hole played into the prevailing wind.
The 17th, the course's signature hole, nicknamed "Donna-green", boasts two bunkers on either side of the green and one more at its center, making it a one-of-a-kind, and notoriously difficult to escape from with a par.

Playacar Spa & Golf Club

This is consider the most challenging course of the region, surrounded by a diversity of natural lakes and exuberant vegetation with a wonderful service of “All inclusive” offering to golfers transportation from any point of Cancun and the Riviera Maya as well as food and beverage at the Club House and snacks along the course.
